In 2005, actress Marla Sokoloff (“Fuller House/Full House,”Dude Where’s My Car,” “The Practice”) launched a contest seeking designers for the cover of her very first solo record. I submitted my design in October and it was announced in November that my design was chosen for the cover. In addition to the cover, Marla needed additional artwork for the rest of the CD package. The design is very much inspired by the Sheryl Crow album “Wildflower.” Marla loved the idea of hand-drawn flowers and hues of green. This CD package was my very first experience in print and though I would make alterations to it today, I believe the design still reflects Marla’s music. Photography by Val Patterson.
